效存德、男，汉族，1969年11月9日出生，甘肃定西人。博士。1992年毕业于兰州大学地理科学系，获理学学士学位，并被评为优秀毕业生。1992年考入中国科学院冰川研究所攻读硕士学位。1997年10月以优异成绩通过博士论文答辩，获理学博士学位。现在中国科学院冰芯与寒区环境重点实验室工作。

经历：

效存德自1993年以来共参加了8次野外科学考察，其中青藏高原3次，帕米尔高原1次，北极1次，南极3次。1993年6月至10月参加中日青藏高原冰川、气候和水文考察（唐古拉山地区）；1994年月至6月参加中日青藏高原冰川、气候和水文考察（唐古拉山、希夏邦马峰地区）；1994年8月至9月，参加帕米尔高原公格尔冰川考察；1995年3月至5月，参加“中国首次远征北极点科学考察”；1995年11月至1996年4月，参加中国第十二次南极考察；1997年4月至5月，参加中美珠穆朗玛峰地区绒布冰川科学考察；1997年11月至1998年4月参加中国第十四次南极考察；2001年11月至2002年4月参加中国第十八次南极考察队。

学术方向：南北极冰芯与生物地球化学循环、遥感与冰冻圈变化、冰冻圈与气候

学术荣誉：

2004年被授予中央国家机关“十大杰出青年”称号；2005年被授予“全国先进工作者号；2005年获“世界气象组织(WMO)青年科学家奖”。
